One Punch Man season 3 is one of the most awaited anime of 2023. Ever since it was announced that studio MAPPA would be handling its animation, it has generated a lot of excitement among fans who have been following the series since 2015. What is One Punch Man About ?
For those unfamiliar with it, One Punch Man tells the story of Saitama, who became a hero for fun. In pursuit of more strength he underwent a hellish training regimen and gained so much strength that he is able to defeat any enemy with a single punch regardless of their strength.
However, this leads to a lack of excitement and challenge in Saitama’s life. Their battles never last more than a fistfight, which results in him losing the sense of excitement that he use to feel before becoming so strong. Saitama yearns for opponents who can truly test his abilities and bring back the thrill he used to feel in his battles.
Season one highlights Saitama’s story and traces his growing frustrations with his unbeatable strength, which allows him to defeat every enemy with a single punch. He also discovers that despite him defeating so many villians over the past years, he never got recognization for any of them since he is not registered as an official hero by the Hero Association. In season two, Saitama decides to see what martial arts are about and enters a mixed martial arts tournament.
Season 2 also introduces a new antagonist named “Garou“. Garou hunts down and defeats various heroes to prove his strength. According to the manga, Garou is set to become an extremely strong and compelling antagonist like Season One’s “Boros”. His presence promises to add depth and intensity to the series.
One Punch Man Season 3 Updates
One Punch Man Season 3 was officially announced for August 2022 which was 2 years after Season 2 ended, leaving fans of the series very excited. On top of that the highly anticipated season will be animated by Studio MAPPA, which is also known for its exceptional animation quality in popular animes such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Yuri on Ice, Terror in Resonance, Chaisaw Man, Hell’s Paradise and Attack on Titan Season 4.
This track record of the studio has further raised the fan’s expectations for Season 3. While an exact release date has not yet been confirmed by the studio, it is expected to premiere in late 2023 or early 2024. Fans are eagerly awaiting Saitama’s adventures and the epic battles of the Heros against the Monster Association.

One Punch Man Story In Season 3
( Spoilers Warning )
After Season 2 left us off with Saitama defeating Elder Centipede, Season 3 of One Punch Man will unfold more information about the Monster Association and its upper echelon of Monsters which are all Dragon lever threats. The Hero Association mobilizes all the heros including the S-rank heros to go into an all out war with the Monster Association. The S-Rank heroes will engage in epic battles against all the Dragon level monsters from the Monster Association, including “Orochi”, the King of the Monsters.
Additionally, the season will show the progression of Garou’s character and his relentless pursuit for power as he joins the monster association. Saitama jumps into the battle because it was revealed that the Monster Association Head-Quaters was right under his home.
